A single-blind cross-over study conducted among 20 adult females who were suffering from constipation indicated increased stool frequency and fecal volume after a 14-day consumption of 4.8g/day of Fibrosol Prebio (J. Nutritional Food, 2001, 4(4); 21-27)
A N=5 cross-over study was conducted for 8 days in which subjects were administered 30g/day of Fibrosol Prebio. At the end of the study, results were conclusive showing a significant increase in growth of beneficial bacteria such as Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli. (Laurentin and Edwards, 2004)
An in-vitro study which was conducted using human fecal dilution revealed that Fibrosol Prebio ferments gradually resulting in less flatulence (production of gas) in the intestines. (Journal of Nutrition, 2000; 130; 1267-1273)
A single-blind cross-over study conducted among 20 healthy adults indicated stabilized postprandial blood glucose/insulin levels after consumption of 5.7g of Fibrosol Prebio (J. Nutritional Food, 2002, 5(2); 31-39). Similarly, a single-blind cross-over study conducted among 13 healthy adults indicated stabilized postprandial serum triglyceride levels after consumption of 5.0g of Fibrosol Prebio (Eur J. Nutr , 2007, 46; 133 - 138)
A double-blind parallel study conducted among 38 healthy adults indicated stabilized chronic triglyceride levels and visceral fat after consumption of 10.0g of Fibrosol Prebio three times a day (J. Jpn. Soc. Study of Obesity, 2007, 13, 34-41)
